본문 First Written Assignment: Assessing a Magazine Selected magazine: National geographic January 2012 Who are the editors of the magazine and what are their titles? Look for the masthead. List them and their titles. If you can tell what the person does for the magazine based on an educated guess from the title, let me know. + Usually the masthead appears on the page 10 in National Geographic. However, exceptionally, there is not a masthead in its January issue. Inevitably I had no choice but to refer to a couple of former magazines. According to the masthead, there are six editors in different position. Firstly, Chris Johns is editor in chief, and Victoria Pope takes the deputy editor position. Dennis R. Dimick, Kurt Mutchler and Jamie Shreeve are executive editors in the environment, Photography and Science departments, respectively. Lastly, Lesley B. Rogers is the managing editor. Based on what we have learned so far, editor is member of a publication's news staff who edits stories and writes headlines. Therefore, roughly speaking, all the editors do the same thing.
